Hi All,

I am currently using TekRADIUS with a ZyXel NWA-3500 to achieve RADIUS authentication. This works fine and the accounting part also works fine, giving me a list of active sessions etc.

I have been trying to get the system to disconnect users using both PoD and also rrasKill but with no success.

I put this down to incompatible hardware, unless anyone has any experience with this or similar devices?

My other question is regarding upload/download speed throttling. I believe it is possible to throttle speeds using the Wispr attributes, however this doesn't seem to work using my system.

Is this again due to hardware issues?

Is there any real support for ZyXEL kit with TekRADIUS or would I be better off with another brand (suggestions welcome)?

Thanks,

Richard

Hi,

As far as I've investigated neither Zyxel supports WISPr attributes on this platform or it has equivalent attributes.

Here is Zyxel RADIUS dictionary;

VENDOR Zyxel 890
ATTRIBUTE Zyxel-Callback-Option 192 integer
ATTRIBUTE Zyxel-Callback-Phone-Source 193 integer
VALUE Zyxel-Callback-Phone-Source Preconfigured 0
VALUE Zyxel-Callback-Phone-Source User 1
VALUE Zyxel-Callback-Option None 0
VALUE Zyxel-Callback-Option Optional 1
VALUE Zyxel-Callback-Option Mandatory 2

As far as I also see there is no method to disconnect active user session on this platform.

Best regards,
