Hi.
Like i mentioned once, im an absolute newbie with Radius-Servers.
My TekRadius-Server is running and SQL Connection is fine. Im using a 3Com Airconnect 9150 as Access Point which is configured properly (WPA - 802.1x Authentification).
I have now a problem to configure TekRadius the way that i need: WLAN Clients that want to access the network should be asked to enter a simple password/code to be able to access the Network and by which they can be identified.
Could someone please explain me shortly how i have to configure the user-interface or settings or has a tutorial for do that?
Thanks in advance and best regards.

Here's our setup: SQL Server 2005 with existing membership database Handlink Wireless Hotspot that can do RADIUS authentication
We have an upcoming conference and I would like to have the wireless hotspot users authenticate by using their last name and conference badge number (both are already in our membership database). This is the first time I ever ever tried setting up a RADIUS server and frankly am totally lost. I have installed TekRADIUS on another PC (Windows XP Pro) and I can successfully connect to the SQL server but am getting the error that tables are missing. From the documentation, it seems that TekRADIUS needs to create it's own database and tables but this seems redundant to me as we already have our database (we have a database administrator on staff). Any help would be most appreciated and I am willing to pay for any support I get. The only catch is that this needs to happen very soon as our conference starts in January.

Hi,
You can try to create a view named "users" which provides following fields for every user;
This is a sample for John Doe. I assume that his batch id is 1234.
Username Attrbite AttrType Val
Doe ietf|1 0 Doe Doe ietf|0 0 Default Doe ietf|2 0 1234
You need to also uncheck Encrypt Password options at Settings / SQL Connection.
Best regards,
