Hi dir Kaplan,

Firstly, I would like to thank you cause this software is very usefull and versatile.

I made a first configuration which authenticates a pc in WiFi thanks to a wireless access point using server certificate and when i'm
connecting to the network it asks the user name (which I have configured to the TekRadius) normally. Everything is working!!

But, i have a little question, can i force the pc to use a specific user name (that configure in tekradius) instead of that the one used during the opening of the session? Like that, the users won't have to enter the login during the connection to the network?

Then, i have another big problem, this configuration prevent the access to the domain and i can't login with domain's users who must access to their private files in their account.

So, can i make a configuration where the PC can be authenticated in wifi before the launch of a session, I think for example has an authentification of the pc by using certificates? Or other idea?

NB: I tried Mac authentication, but it seems that my access point only work with PEAP mode ( I have access mac control directly implement in the router wifi) and during the connexion to the network, it request me a user name while i configure an address mac users name in tekradius. Strange?

If you have any response.

Thanks you

PS: I'm french so i "try" to explain my problem, if you don't understand some part ask me ^^.

Hi,

Thank for your feedback. You can consider using Windows logon name / password instead of user input. If you leave default Windows client uses Windows logon name and password.

This also solves domain access issue.

Best regards,

Hi,

Thanks for the fast responce.

Well, i also try this solution, and in this case, i have to create a username in tekradius which correspond to the logon name used by Windows automatically.
It works but i have approximatively 150 users who change every years, so i can't create each of them in the users database of tekradius.

That's my problem, but in thinking, I have read that the username send to tekradius have this format " PCname/username", so can i make an authentication by using the PCname rather than Username?

Thanks a lot.

Have a good day.
