This morning, TekRadius stopped working. I had several logentries like this:

Diesem Befehl ist bereits ein geöffneter DataReader zugeordnet, der zuerst geschlossen werden muss.

I would translate the last message like this: "There is already an open DataReader attached to this command, that needs to bel closed first".

What could this mean? I am using TekRadius that was published two days ago on a Windows 2003 Server R2, SQL Express 2005. I checked the SQL Connection within TekRADIUS Manager and it says that everything is ok. I am pretty sure that nothing has changed in Tek configuration between yesterday and now. I also restarted the whole machine but without success. Any hints are appreciated.

To my bad, this looks to me that it is nothing that I (as an user) can fix.

Same thing with the new version.

I only see the error message when an unknown client is authenticating. I currently don't have any failure-reply definied. Neither in my "known user" group nor in the default group.

Do you use EAP-MD5 or CHAP authentication method?

Can you also send me a Wireshark/Ethereal trace showing incoming RADIUS Authentication-Request packet?

Hi,

Log files and traces were very helpfull. I fixed the problem. Please download and install latest built from TekRADIUS website. Let me know the result.

If you plan to also check user password please uncheck "Authorization only" parameter in Settings / Service Parameters.
